A bulk telecommunications contract is an agreement between a community association and an Internet Service Provider (ISP). The ISP would provide Cable TV and/or internet service on a bulk basis to 100% of the community’s residents, while the community would provide negotiated telecom services as an amenity to its residents.  By leveraging community purchasing power, it strengthens the Association’s negotiation position to achieve its technology goals.

An Exclusive Marketing or Easement Telecom Agreement is a legal contract between a community association and an ISP.  The Agreement grants the ISP access to the community for the purpose of installing, maintaining, and operating their network to provide cable and internet services to the community’s residents.  This contract typically involves compensation paid to the community association by the ISP, often in exchange for granting the ISP marketing rights within the community.

A Service Level Agreement (SLA) in a telecommunications contract is a formal, documented agreement between an ISP and a customer that defines the level of service the customer can expect. The SLA outlines specific performance metrics, ISP responsibilities, and service quality standards. It is meant to ensure that the customer receives a consistent, reliable, and high-quality service, while the provider is held accountable for meeting those expectations.

Fiber to the Home (FTTH) is a telecommunications technology that delivers high-speed internet access directly to homes using fiber-optic cables.  Unlike traditional copper-based technologies, such as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) or cable, fiber-optic cables can transmit data over long distances with minimal signal loss or degradation.  FTTH has been increasingly deployed worldwide as demand for high-speed internet and data-heavy services continues to grow.
